As your HMGT Chairmen, I had several discussions with HMGT coordinators,

regarding who we will donate monies raised for 2024.
 
I’m happy to announce that the money raised through our HMGT raffle 
will be donated to the St. JamesAmerican Legion Post 543 and their charitable 
foundation, the Richard H. Stewart Jr. Foundation.  Richard H. Stewart, Jr, was one 
of the nearly 3,000 victims who perished in the World Trade Center attack on 9/11.
His father, Dick Stewart, is a member of the foundation that supports “Americanism, veterans, and service to the community 
by empowering our local youth and investing in the future through education and 
citizenship”. We have in the past two years proudly donated to the Tunnel Two Tower Foundation.
We will continue by participating in local St. James Plantation events and 
surrounding area fundraisers.  Having our donation stay local ensures our 
commitment to those needing assistance in our community. I encourage you all to support this change and view this wonderful opportunity we 
have to make a difference here in St James, NC. Let’s come together to support this worthy cause. By purchasing raffle tickets, volunteering your time, or simply spreading the word, you can help us make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. Together, we can honor Richard’s legacy and strengthen our community.”
