The October 23 Richard H. Stewart, Jr. American Legion Post 543 meeting was action-packed with awards and donations.

After the presentation of the colors and an opening prayer, a 50th Korean War Anniversary Pin was presented to U.S. Army

Veteran Tom Maher by Post Commander Phillip McGhee.

A $3,605 check was then presented to Steve Ratti, representing the newly formed Richard H. Stewart, Jr. Charitable Foundation

(RHSCF) with the proceeds from the 2024 Heroes’ Memorial Golf Tournament (HMGT) to support the needs of local veterans and

children. This memorial event is put on annually by a group of retired and former Secret Service Agents who reside in the St. James

Community. HMGT Commissioner Ray Ventura and Treasurer Jim Rizzo were on hand to make the presentation to the RHS Foundation.
