The fun and experience of the Heroes Memorial Golf Tournament (HMGT) at St. James Plantation, NC will be October 12th thru 15th, 2023. Please read our planned event schedule. Great efforts are now being made by the event Chairperson to make sure the party

Event #1
The HMGT 2023 Golf Tournament Welcome Reception Coordinators Liz Ventura
and Margaret Regan have been working once again with Mission Barbecue to
cater our Thursday, October 12th, 2023. Confirmed Attendee list. The opening night event.
The HMGT Welcome Reception is at the Pavilion Woodlands Park, on October 12th
at 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The buffet is served from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Mission Barbecue will once again cater the event. Brisket and pulled chicken will
be served, with sides of mac n cheese and baked beans. Beer, wine, water, and
ice tea will be available. Mary Beth Brace is our dessert coordinator for this event.

HMGT Friday and Saturday Competitive Golf at St James Plantation October 13th
and 14th, 2023. 10/13/14/2023 Golf Tee Sheets. Founders golf courses will be used for this event on both days. Guest
fee $66. Tony Savastana is our coordinator and contact for this event, working with St. James
Tournament Director, Cole Grammen. Tony S will coordinate all your requests regarding tee times, final scheduling, special
play with requests and all other matters or concerns you may have.
All participants must have a verifiable golf handicap (GHIN handicap is preferred).
Handicaps will be used from tee’s of choice. Tournament rules will be provided by
Tony S. Contact Tony S if you want to play in the competitive rounds, with a verifiable handicap.
Plan ahead for this great event. The HMGT Competitive Golf Championship Trophy
Presentation and money payouts for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be made at the
banquet Saturday evening. Event Coordinators: Tony Savastana must be contacted to play both days

HMGT Friday Evening Dinner October 13th at 6:00 pm. Attendee list Mr P's restaurant is again our
host restaurant for this event. The Carusos have space for only 46, so get your spot
early.The restaurant owner and the Carusos have selected a special menu for the dinner.
Each guest will be responsible for the cost of their dinner selection.

The HMGT 2023 Golf Tournament Banquet--Coordinators Eileen and Al Gillis have
been working with St. James Catering to once again provide a five-star evening
dining experience on October 14th, 2023. Cocktails can be purchased at the bar or
from your serving staff. Credit cards are only for non-members. Members can use their club card. The menu is attached below.
Please make your selection and enclose a check for your meal to Al Gillis. HMGT Tournament Banquet is October 14th at 6:00 pm

HMGT Sunday Scramble at St James Plantation, Members Golf Club, October 15th,
starting tee times will at 10:10 am. TEE SHEET The guest fee is $66. The range is open to hit balls prior
to your start time. Tom Williams is our coordinator and contact for this event, working with St. James
Tournament Director, Cole Grammen. Tom W will provide the rules for the scramble.Tom W will coordinate all your requests regarding teams, times, final scheduling,
and all other matters or concerns you may have. We have added Mulligan’s for sale for Sunday’s Scramble at Players. Kathy
Savastana is our Chairperson and will sell the Mulligans with Bev Williams at the
Welcome Reception. The price is one for $10 or three for $20 ($20 max per person).
The proceeds will be donated to the Tunnels for Towers Foundation and the US
Secret Service Association. You “must" contact Tom if you want to play in the scramble event. Plan ahead

HMGT Team Scramble Golf Championship Trophy Presentation Sunday, October,
15th starting at 7:00 pm. Pam and Wayne DaDetto have once again graciously offered to host this event at
their residence in the party room known as the “Cave”. Open bar, appetizers, and
desserts will be served. Enter through the side lower level driveway entrance door.
Entertainment will be provided by the Giants vs Bills Sunday night game at 8pm.
Please contact Pam or Wayne via email by September 25th to let them know you’ll attend.
This notification will allow them a final number for this event.
